Round Rock ISD high schoolers will soon have yet another way to find their future after graduation, thanks to a newly formed partnership between the District and Texas State Technical College.
Peggy Mica, assistant director of CTE at Round Rock ISD, said she believes the program will be vital for students looking to get ahead in manufacturing.
“Manufacturing is growing rapidly in the Round Rock and Austin areas as well as other parts of the state and country,” she said. “Our students will now have the opportunity to learn about this career field with a high demand for qualified employees.”
This collaboration introduces a dual credit precision manufacturing pathway specifically designed for juniors and seniors at Cedar Ridge and Stony Point high schools.
