Rodney has over 33 years of progressive operations, engineering, consulting, and management experience in the U.S. manufacturing industrial base. Rodney received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, and he is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Rodney has been employed with the Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center (TMAC), for over 23 years providing consulting services to manufacturers and businesses throughout Texas. For 16 years Rodney served manufacturing customers in the field as a business advisor. Rodney was promoted to the position of TMAC Metroplex Regional Director from (9/2018 – 8/2021), where he was responsible for program management and performance in the DFW Metroplex Region. In September 2021, due to the sudden death of the Center Director, Rodney took over as the TMAC Interim Executive Director for the statewide program, which includes oversight management of TMAC offices located at (Texas Tech, UTEP, UTRGV, SWRI, UHCL, TEEX, Lamar University and UTA). On March 1, 2023, Rodney was promoted to the TMAC Executive Director position and has since provided strategic direction and development of the TMAC program across the state of Texas. Prior to TMAC, Rodney served in various management roles throughout his career including Thermo-Electric Product Manager for Igloo Products Corporation, Houston, Texas. Engineering Manager for RXI Plastics Corporation, Houston, Texas. As well as Plant Manager for Peerless Manufacturing responsible for planning, directing, and controlling all areas of plant production, as well as, overall P&L for the Denton, Texas facility.
