Dallas is #1 in U.S. Manufacturing—
See Why at the Manufacturing Technology Series SOUTHWEST Event
After more than 40 years in Houston, the Manufacturing Technology Series SOUTHWEST, featuring HOUSTEX, is moving to Dallas. According to a recent report, Dallas ranked first on the list of America’s top 20 metropolitan areas for manufacturing in 2024.
One key reason for the city’s top ranking is the addition of 9.2 million square feet of manufacturing space to its market in five years. Additionally, the Dallas area has one of the lowest manufacturing labor costs in the nation.
On top of that, Texas exports the largest number of manufactured goods among all 50 states and comes second behind California — for factory production.
